The Bardot - a location in Hollywood usually overshadowed by its brother underneath, the avalon. The avalon is a large venue and club like. The Bardot has a indie vibe to it, secretive yet inviting. I have enjoyed many events there, the main areas are smoker friendl which is good and bad, since they are very airy. The sound of performances is always cool, the reverb is minimal and because of the set up intimacy is guaranteed.
The Crocker club looks awesome, it used to be a bank i understand. But the venue is way over the top with trendies and "hipsters". Feels like a Vegas rendition.
The exchange la is huge and half, with superbly large floors. Many good events have been held there, your experience will depend on the event.
